On trademarks. Read before you buy.

The Witlax licence gives you the right to use, modify, and register a purchased mark as your own. It does not guarantee that the mark is free of prior trademark rights in your jurisdiction. That check is on you, and it is worth doing before you commit to signage, packaging, or a domain name.

The three checks we recommend.

A visual search on Google Images and Pinterest for the mark and any close variants.
A wordmark search on your national trademark office (USPTO, UKIPO, EUIPO, IP Australia, CIPO).
A design mark search using Vienna classification, if your registry supports it.

If you find a conflict.

Email us within seven days of purchase at [email protected]. If the check turns up a genuine prior registration in your class of goods or services, we will refund the mark and put you in touch with a designer for a custom alternative.
